Packs of Hope IN GATHERING
The Board of Education is hosting a “Fill a Pack, Fill a Need” campaign at Mount Olive Lutheran Church with an organization called Packs of Hope. What is Packs of Hope? It is a Christian organization that partners with the community and county human service agencies to provide backpacks filled with essential clothing items to children and youth who are transitioning into and out of home or foster care. Packs of Hope is an opportunity to care for children in our neighboring counties who often arrive in foster care with just the clothing on their backs. Please consider contributing clothing, toiletries, or a filled backpack or consider a cash/check donation to Mount Olive for a team to pick up needed materials for this backpack drive. A backpack and a list of items needed are located in the cloak room beginning Sunday, July 4th through August 1st. Please return filled backpacks or purchased items by Sunday, August 1st. On August 4th, we will prepare the backpacks for Packs of Hope.
If you have questions, please contact Jodi Nierman.
